Folly Farm Cotswold Camping is 20 minutes from Cheltenham; famous not only for its race course but also for the world famous Literary, Science, Music, Jazz and Cricket Festivals www.visitcheltenham.com

For those who love walking or cycling with a treat at the end we have a great choice of country pubs! The Plough in Cold Aston is a fifteen minute walk across fields from the campsite. It is an award winning pub which serves delicious locally sourced food and ales. To be sure of availability we recommend booking.

For those who like a longer walk, cycle or short drive there are a number of villages with pubs that serve excellent food such as the The Black Horse in Naunton and the Hollow Bottom in Guiting Power or Halfway House www.thehalfwayhousekineton.co.uk in Kineton.

The Black Horse in Naunton is close to the Naunton Down Golf Course nauntondowns.co.uk which welcomes visitors and has a stunning 18 hole, par 71 course; they have several astro turf tennis courts that can be booked.

If you are a group eating at the Hollow Bottom they sometimes are able to offer a transfer back to the campsite; worth checking when you book.

As well as pubs it is worth checking out some of the very special farm shops and village run cafes and bakerys. Try the cafe in the mainly National Trust owned village of Sherborne followed by a walk around the grounds. For a very upmarket experience it is worth visiting Daylesford Organic Farm Shop near Kingham.

Chedworth is worth a visit not just to see the remarkable remains of one of Britains largest Roman Villas and it's mosiacs but also to visit it's farm shop www.chedworthfarmshop.co.uk

We are not far from the historic market towns of Stow on the Wold, Winchcombe and Moreton in the Marsh.  Nearby are beautiful villages such as Upper and Lower Slaughters, Sherborne and most famously Bourton on the Water (try The Bakery on the Water).

We have two public footpaths that run through the site.  There are miles of wonderful walks to be enjoyed in the area and lots of villages and lanes to be discovered by walkers and cyclists.
